This Tuesday we thought we would look at some tours hitting Scotland this coming week that have caught our eye…
Duke’s Bar, Dundee – 15 March, Cabaret Voltaire, Edinburgh – 16 March.
The Scottish street busker morphed into a TV talent show winner and then into a credible touring act, and now, she is probably Dumfries’ most famous alumni. Either her or Dominic Matteo.
FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND
Bongo Club, Edinburgh – 19 March, King Tut’s, Glasgow – 20 March.
Funeral For A Friend just keep on ploughing. The Welsh rockers have got a new album out at the end of March and travel north for two dates in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Funeral For A Friend: Unfortunately they couldn’t hear the ‘Say cheese’ request
THE LAST BATTLE
The Old Bridge Inn, Aviemore – 19 March, Musa, Aberdeen – 20 March.
We spoke to Edinburgh’s The Last Battle a few months ago, where they advocated plentiful whisky drinking – even Lidl whisky drinking. If you fancy joining in the fun, check them out on their mini-tour of the north of Scotland.
Studio 24, Edinburgh – 18 March, Ivory Black’s, Glasgow – 19 March.
Tribute bands are notoriously dodgy but by paying homage to metal’s greatest sons Metallica, we just have to let them off. James Hetfield and Co. are playing the Sonisphere festival this summer but if you can’t catch them then, this will probably have to do.
