1. Check out this blog post at Edinburgh Underground from Scrap Brain‘s Myke Hall. He dissects Scotland’s apparent infatuation with ‘anti-folk’ with some valid points (and some not quite so valid), but we’re left wondering what exactly is anti-folk and why can’t he name names? Ah go on.

2. Carrbridge’s Rachel Sermanni recently performed at the Eurosonic Festival in Holland and this video for ‘Song For a Fox’ was filmed whilst she was out there, complete with a slow-mo zoom out from a rain-spattered window. Arty.

3. Take a listen to Glasgow trio PAWS live in session on Ally McCrae’s BBC…Introducing show on Radio 1 (16 January). They play alongside Super Adventure Club, Hagana and Rollor at the 13th Note in Glasgow on Tuesday 25 January as The Daily Dose teams up with Define Pop once again under the name of onewordPResents. Do it.
