1. Stuck for a New Year’s resolution? How about go check out some of Scotland’s top bands? Well you can do that in the pleasant surroundings of King Tut’s January as the Glasgow venue play host to a number of local acts across a range of genres, including French Wives, Flood of Red and Tango In The Attic. And they’ve very kindly made up a free compilation of music from some of the bands set to play for your aural pleasure.
2. Dormant Glasgow trio Jocasta Sleeps recently reunited for a show at Bloc in Glasgow (16 Dec). What better time then to revisit their ‘Greatest Hits’? It’s still available to download for free via their MySpace page.
