New Talent Thursday – A Round Up

Since The Daily Dose started, we’ve had upcoming ten bands featured on Thursdays. Ten is a nice number, so what better time to have a retrospective look back and see how some of these bands have done since?

These guys have already been on a Scottish tour – and have just embarked on another. Their EP was released to acclaim. So go catch them now whilst they assault your home town.

Eat Dr. Ape.

Eat Dr. Ape released an album recently and it’s a bit of a feast. They’re all music students, so obviously they know what they’re doing. Maybe. Yes.

These guys have been featured on ‘Premeditation Vol. 3’, a Glasgow and beyond compilation, and have a show lined up on July 28 at King Tut’s with The Xcerts and Bronto Skylift. Not too shabby.

Living In Hiding.

Young un’s Living In Hiding have enjoyed some notable support slots recently, including a show at King Tut’s, and have uploaded a new demo onto their MySpace too.  Probably can’t sleep with the Blink-182 Glasgow show coming up soon.

Rinoa! Rinoa!.

Fellow young(ish) un’s Rinoa! Rinoa! have been playing a number of gigs in Glasgow – headlining the 02 Academy 2 – and have also been out on the road around in Scotland too. Busy.

Blue Sky Archives.

Blue Sky Archives have since been riding the swell of local hype, playing at Radar‘s first ever gig – at Nice ‘n’ Sleazy’ – and been getting a fair bit of press/blog coverage. They’re playing a nice show at the 13th Note in September, which you’ll no doubt hear more about…

Night Noise Team.

They came, and they conquered. You can hear Night Noise Team‘s performance at T in the Park here.
