1. Edinburgh three-piece Scrap Brain have made their track ‘Take It’ available for a free download over on their Bandcamp. They released an accompanying video for it recently, which we think looks pretty rootin’ tootin’ and makes us wonder if that’s what colour blindness is really like.
2. A lot of people in Scotland like PAWS at the moment…and so do we. And so do a lot of rowdy ragamuffins in Aberdeen too, it seems. Check out the video for a lesson in putting on a gig people won’t forget in the morning (unless they were reaaallly drunk…)
3. Switched on blogger and all round good guy Favourite Son recently uploaded his latest podcast – and we’re happy to report that his ears are in fine working condition, such is the fine selection of Scottish music on it. The man’s hosting a gig at Glasgow’s Pivo Pivo on 11 August, featuring Dead Boy Robotics, Any Color Black, Blank Canvas and Skies Fell‘s David Pollock. Lap it up like Giggsy at a Big Brother series seven reunion party.
